RLP Co-Hosts Improving Employer Engagement Event

THE RLP has co-hosted an event which aims to help partners maximise the way in which they engage with employers.
The Improving Employer Engagement Event was held at Sketty Hall, Swansea, on October 14, with partners within the City and County of Swansea. This included Gower College Swansea, Careers Wales West, Job Centre Plus, Swansea Metropolitan University and Swansea University.
The event looked at the experiences of partners in engaging with employers and trying to identify areas of good practice and the lessons that could be learnt. With input also from individuals representing employers, the event was felt to be very worthwhile in bringing together all sides of employer engagement.
The event closed with discussions on key outcomes which will help to inform a greater dialogue locally, and how this can move towards tangible actions for closer collaboration regionally.
Evaluation of the result has been extremely positive and is being considered as a model to ‘roll out’ within the other counties across the region.
