SSC Seminars 2012
The Regional Learning Partnership is pleased to announce that through the work of its Regional Network Provider Advocate, funding has been successfully accessed through the Welsh Government and its Sector Priorities Fund for the South West and Mid-Wales region to host a series of Sector Skills Council (SSC) Seminars.
The purpose of the seminars is to enable clusters of SSCs to present overviews of their assessments of employers’ skills demands for both now and into the next decade. The Seminars have been devised to focus on certain Sector clusters, as follows:
Seminar 1 - 19th January 2012, Pembroke Dock
Lantra, People 1st, Improve, Skillsmart Retail
Seminar 2 - 24th January 2012, Llandrindod Wells
Care Council Wales, Skills Active, Skills for Justice, Financial Skills Partnership
Seminar 3 - 21st February 2012, Llanelli
Energy & Utility Skills, Cogent, Asset Skills
Seminar 4 - 27th February 2012, Swansea
Creative & Cultural Skills, E-Skills UK, Skillset, Skills for Health, Summit Skills
Seminar 5 - 5th March 2012, Swansea
Construction Skills, Semta, Proskills, Skills for Logistics, Institute of the Motor Industry
Each conference is a half-day morning session followed by a buffet lunch, and includes expert speakers and discussions on the needs of their respective industries.
